Moravians are the oldest continuously practicing Protestant denomination in the world today. We welcome all to join us as we worship our Lord and Savior,  Jesus Christ.

Opportunities & Events:  

Candle Tea 2026: Friday, December 4th (3-8pm) & Saturday, December 5th (10am-2pm)

The Candle Tea has been First Moravian’s Christmas gift to the Greensboro community since 1962.

Join us this December for live music in the Sanctuary, refreshments in the Tavern, Moravian craft demonstrations (star-making, beeswax candle-pouring, pottery-throwing, and more), the Putz, and an opportunity to purchase your favorite holiday treats, including chicken pies, lighted Advent stars, and Moravian baked goods such as sugarcake, stollen, gingerbread, and apple dumplings.

Our 2026 Candle Tea will be held Friday, December 4th (3:00-8:00pm) and Saturday, December 5th (10:00am-2:00pm).

Christmas Eve Lovefeasts: Thursday, December 24th (3pm & 5:30pm)

Christ is born! Celebrate the birth of our Savior by joining us for one of our Christmas Eve Candlelight Lovefeast services on Thursday, December 24th.

Our 3:00pm Children's Lovefeast is a favorite among families (sugarcake and cider will be served); our 5:30pm service is a more traditional service (coffee and Lovefeast buns will be served). Both services are filled with the joyous singing of Christmas carols and the sharing of the nativity story.

Seating will be limited; please plan to arrive early. Both services will be livestreamed via Zoom (Meeting ID: 205 454 336) and Facebook Live (@fmcgreensboro).

 

Sign Up for Sunday Servant Roles Online!

Contribute your gifts to Sunday morning worship by volunteering to serve as liturgist, usher, greeter, or nursery shepherd. Sign up on our Sunday Servants Calendar.

You can also help beautify our chancel and worship space on Sunday mornings by contributing Sanctuary flowers throughout the year. Flower arrangements are frequently placed as an offering of thanksgiving to honor and recognize family milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, accomplishments) or in memory of loved ones. Your special dedication will appear in that Sunday's bulletin.

One or two arrangements may be placed each Sunday; the cost is $38.00 per arrangement. Checks may be made out to FMC with "Sanctuary Flowers" in the memo line. You may use the Sunday Servants Calendar to sign up, or you may call the church office to order. If you do not wish to take your flowers home after worship, please notify the church office on Monday so that they may be shared with our friends that are at home or in hospital.
